MMS Blog: BIG Kaiser Roots Out the Real Problem for N.C. Engineering

Even in the most complex systems and machinery, problem-solving often boils down to correcting a single part, component or function. This is why it’s so important to err on the side of quality. Any metalworking system is only as strong as its weakest link.

Modern Machine Shop’s blog this week talks about just that, citing a recent customer collaboration that BIG Kaiser had with N.C. Engineering (N.C.E.). Operators, who were confounded by the low quality of component coming off of  their brand new, several hundred thousand dollar 50-taper machine, were relieved to find it was a simple rigidity problem in the sub-par boring head. Solution? Investing in higher quality boring heads from BIG Kaiser. Click here to read about how they did it.
