Working with Fellow Suppliers to Find Customers Solutions

As a supplier to the vitally important, ever-changing manufacturing industry, we take our responsibility to provide timely and cost-effective solutions very seriously. Finding the best of those solutions sometimes means dialing back our natural competitiveness and collaborating with other industry suppliers to explore ways our respective products or knowledge may  work together to make the end user’s life a little easier.

Earlier this month we had a great opportunity to do just that. Our President and CEO Chris Kaiser and VP of Sales & Engineering, Jack Burley, visited the Digital Manufacturing and Design Innovation Institute (DMDII) in downtown Chicago, to which we’ve equipped with a significant amount of tooling and measurement equipment, for an event called Experts-meet-Experts.

In addition to Jack’s presentation, “Higher Productivity Milling – Advanced Cutter and Tool Holding Technology,” organizer Blaser Swisslube talked about impending regulation that will affect machining, Chip Blaster talked high-pressure coolant, Bielomatic discussed minimum quantity lubrication (MQL), and local distributor DXP/Machinery Tooling & Supply presented on replacing certain traditional metalworking fluids. Make sure to email tim.stapula@us.bigkaiser.com for a recording of Jack’s presentation!

It was a valuable opportunity to ask and be asked some tough questions from folks who know the business. And it’s part of our commitment to our
customers that we’ll do whatever it takes to find and recommend the very best solutions in each and every scenario.

Here’s an example of how we have worked with Blaser Swisslube on another occasion, one featured on Modern Machine Shop’s blog as a matter of fact. It centered on finding the best combination of boring tools and fluid for tricky titanium cutting.
