NTMA Members Come Together for Historic Fall Conference
Congratulations to the NTMA on celebrating 75 years with a record turnout at the Fall Conference in Denver. BIG KAISER had the pleasure to again sponsor the opening “Regiception” event, welcoming attendees from across the U.S. on arrival to the Grand Hyatt Denver. We were delighted to see so many old friends and make some new acquaintances, especially those from the local hosting NTMA chapter.
The general assembly and breakout sessions covered a variety of topics, all focused on the daily challenges faced by NTMA members and manufacturers throughout the country. Experts delivered inspiring and informative sessions on business conditions, sales and marketing, finance, HR and workforce development, and the future of manufacturing.
Casino Night was a spirited and competitive event held at Wynkoop Brewery. The annual fundraiser benefits NTMA’s Government Affairs Administrative Fund (GAAF). Winners exchanged their accumulated chips for tickets to bid on raffle prizes, including a ChipFan and a Base Master high-precision sensor donated by BIG KAISER.
The busy week concluded with a tour of NTMA member company Hirsh Precision, which was recently named a 2018 Top Shop by Modern Machine Shop for Shop Floor Practices. BIG KAISER Product Manager John Zaya joined the tour.
“Hirsh Precision is a great example of how some thoughtful planning and layout can lead to a simple step-by-step process that is easy for anyone to understand. In-bound raw material enters one door, then parts go through their required processes, and then back out the same door once packed all with minimum distance traveled between,” Zaya said.
