Golden Corridor Manufacturing Group, Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates – The Golden Corridor Manufacturing Group is a regional partnership of companies and organizations working together to improve the economic conditions of the I-90 corridor in Illinois, USA. BIG Kaiser Precision Tooling Inc. will host an open house for high school students, allowing them a behind-the-scenes peak at the future of manufacturing technology.

At this Golden Corridor Open House hosted by BIG Kaiser Precision Tooling Inc., students are invited to:
• Interact with engineers, designers, and executives currently working in the local manufacturing industry
• Witness live machining and manufacturing in action
• Speak with representatives from Harper College and Northern Illinois University
• Learn about the blossoming state of manufacturing, and the shortage of qualified, capable labor

BIG Kaiser and its partners in the Golden Corridor Manufacturing Group are dedicated to educating the public – especially students nearing career choices – about the growing, but often neglected employment gap in the manufacturing industry. With the rapid advancement of technology and increasing prevalence of computer aided manufacturing, the lack of qualified, skilled labor is the largest single challenge facing manufacturing in the United States. The Golden Corridor Manufacturing Group unites local manufacturing and technology businesses with nearby colleges and trade schools to provide students with a clear path for obtaining the high-tech skills necessary for an exciting and lucrative career in modern manufacturing.
