BIG KAISER’s Year-End Promotion Benefits National Robotics League
After a successful promotion last year, BIG KAISER renewed its commitment to the National Robotics League (NRL) at the recent National Tooling & Machining Association (NTMA) Fall Conference in San Antonio. The company promised to donate two percent of every order received from an NTMA member in November and December to the NRL. That means that manufacturers buying cutting tools, tool holders and workholding products will be earning funds for the NRL at the same time.
NRL is a manufacturing workforce development program of the NTMA where students design and build remote controlled robots (Bots) to face-off in a gladiator-style competition. Through the manufacturing process of Bot building, students’ imaginations are captured as they design, build and compete with their own robotic creations. Through this hands-on effort along with industry partnerships, students gain practical knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) – all essential skills for manufacturing.
Bill Padnos, the NRL program manager at the NTMA, says the NRL is all about the manufacturing community collaborating to engage manufacturing’s next generation. For BIG KAISER, this promotion is one more way to support its customers and members of the NTMA and to show the company’s passion workforce development and STEM programs.
