BIG Kaiser Offers Both New and Improved Presetters
Speroni Futura Is Our Most Amazing Machine Yet
Called by an attendee of EASTEC “one of the most innovative designs I’ve ever seen,” the new Futura is Speroni’s most advanced presetter yet. It’s not only the expression of 50 years of innovative technology, it’s the fact that the Futura lives up to its name with future-proof technology and innovation. Basically, we looked at the best, and made it better. All the accuracy, robustness, stability and ease of use wrapped up in an ergonomic, user-friendly and stylish package. “It looks like it could easily be at home on the floor of a performance car showroom, but is equally at home in any machine shop,” says Doug Sumner, Product Manager, Tool Measuring Systems at BIG Kaiser.
The structure is made out of aged pearlitic cast iron, making it the most thermally stable presetter on the market. The design is more comfortable and ergonomic, with a lower spindle position and an easy access all-in-one control console. The newly designed integral spindle provides 0.0001″ T.I.R. at 16″ out of spindle.
New Diaset More Accurate Than Ever Before
The recently overhauled Diaset is a high precision tool presetter built with a tight budget in mind. The new design provides a stable measuring column and a solid base made out of mineral cast, guaranteeing high rigidity, high repeatability and measurement accuracy. “Quite simply, it gives you everything you need to measure and set your tooling without the extra frills you may not require that simply drive up the price. But it still provides the high-tech-elements, extraordinary stability and high repeatability required for basic tool setup,” Sumner says.
High precision scales, solid guides and a large, multi-function digital readout (which includes new standard functions) make the measuring process easier and provide maximum measuring capabilities at an affordable price. Additionally, the high precision rotating spindle enables a greater accuracy than ever before.
Speroni Magis Adds New Advanced Standard Features
It is well known that Speroni is at the cutting edge when it comes to precision measurement in a user-friendly package. For customers buying new Magis machines, some newly released enhancements to the base Magis control (highlighted below) provide for even greater functionality and capabilities and at the same affordable price as the previous version.
The newly enhanced Magis control works with the CNC spindle (standard on new machines) to allow for AutoFocus, Automatic Run-Out and CNC-controlled MaxP functions. Remote support is also now available allowing for fast and comprehensive support at any time after the installation and initial training (requires Internet connection, additional charges may apply). Additional functionality includes Post Processor files via FTP, posting of angles and radii in addition to the height and diameter, print screen utility and save vision system image utility.
For those with older versions of the Magis control – no worries! One often overlooked benefit of purchasing a Speroni is that they are upgradeable by design – perfect for situations like we are in now. “Speroni prides themselves on being fully upgradeable in the field so new updates and enhancements can always be implemented on existing machines. These newest features are available for retrofits to our existing Magis control users, giving customers an even greater return on investment to their original purchase of a Speroni measuring system,” says Sumner.
Some features will be updated for free during routine software updates, but any of the new CNC options however would require the purchase of a CNC spindle.
