BIG KAISER ensures precision with tightening fixture

Torque Fit

Ruemlang, Switzerland – September 15, 2017 – At EMO 2017, BIG KAISER, a global leader in premium high-precision tooling systems and solutions for the metalworking industries, today announced the Torque Fit, a tightening fixture for collet chucks with an integrated torque indicator.

The Torque Fit makes it easy to ensure that a collect chuck is tightened correctly, helping to achieve high-precision machining by notifying the user of a correctly set torque value via an audible buzzer.

This tightening fixture was developed to replace multiple torque wrenches and comes with adapters for all common machine tool interfaces such as HSK, SK and BT.

For maximum convenience, torque values of all the BIG KAISER-made collet chucks are preset. The user can, however, set the torque to any value of their own choosing from 4 to 80 Nm. The minimum read value is 0.01 Nm at less than 10 Nm, and 0.1 Nm at 10 Nm or more. The Torque Fit includes an error LED to indicate overtightening.

"High precision is vital for machining applications," says Giampaolo Roccatello, VP Sales at BIG KAISER. "The Torque Fit plays a relatively small yet essential role in ensuring that high precision is simple and quick to achieve in real world conditions. It is far more economical for the customer to purchase only a single Torque Fit instead of multiple torque wrenches."

The Torque Fit is available now.

At Stand B46 in Hall 3, BIG KAISER is presenting its industry-leading portfolio of high-precision boring tools. Visitors can also see the Suter 500, the world's fastest two-stroke motorbike, BIG KAISER is an official technology partner of Suter Racing.

EMO Hannover is the world's premier trade fair for the metalworking sector, and runs from September 18 to 23, 2017. The most recent event, in 2013, attracted more than 2,130 exhibitors and around 143,000 trade visitors from more than 100 countries.
