BIG Daishowa FULLCUT MILL, the world’s first indexable
insert endmill with eccentric relief angle, will be introduced
by BIG Kaiser Precision Tooling at IMTS 2004, September 8-15,
in Chicago’s McCormick Place, Booth E-2005. |

| FULLCUT
MILL’s design and manufacture assure extraordinary sharpness
for smooth, chatter-free cutting and toughness for high performance,
especially suited to small machines with low power capabilities.
It equals or exceeds the performance of solid endmills and
adds the advantages of indexable inserts that are exclusive
for each cutter diameter from .50" to 2.0" with ideal
rake angle and clearance. |

| FULLCUT
MILL has a positive high rake cutting edge for both radial
and axial directions to achieve smooth and quiet endmilling.
Its wide wiper action gives an excellent surface finish. Coolant
through the tool extends insert life and supports increased
metal removal rates for aluminum and some stainless steel applications |

| The
eccentric relief angle is kept small to provide increased strength
to the cutting edge without reducing the top rake and sharpness.
Its strong cutting edge is located close to the body diameter
to close the clearance angle and reduce exposure to edge chipping. |

| FULLCUT
MILL’s toughness comes from combining a strong, replaceable
cutting edge with secure clamping by high tensile steel “Alpha
Screw” and a highly rigid integral body. All inserts
have a 90 degree locating side into the pocket to assure the
insert cannot lift itself from the cutter due to high cutting
forces. When used with the BIG PLUS dual face and taper contact
system, it achieves the highest rigidity required for high
speed operations. |

| FULLCUT
MILL is offered in a variety of bodies, including straight

are offered in multiple lengths to optimize projection for
various application criteria and provide much higher stiffness
and rigidity against cutter deflection. This also reduces unnecessary
cutter over-hang common to using straight shanks clamped into
cylindrical shank tool holders. |
