BIG
Kaiser Introduces EWN Boring Heads
with Coromant Capto® Connection |
| |
| ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL—New
Kaiser EWN heads with Coromant Capto® connection offer
the highest precision and efficiency for boring operations
when using Mill/Turn (MTC®) centers or multitasking machines,
BIG Kaiser Precision Tooling announced. |
| |
| The
EWN heads give Capto users improved stability and balance during
high-speed boring operations with diameters .078" to 8".
Wide variety of different Insert holders can be assembled for
large boring ranges and easy changeover to back boring. |
| |
| “Capto
boring heads featuring EWN offer superior rigidity, accuracy
and large work range for mill-turn centers equipped with the
world-recognized Capto connection,” explained Jack Burley,
BIG Kaiser Vice President, Engineering. “For the first
time, users of multi-tasking machines can take advantage of
Kaiser’s high performance EWN boring tool system without
the need for connection adapters or straight shanks.” |
| |
| These
precision boring heads fit into the Coromant Capto basic adaptors,
extensions and reductions. They also fit into Coromant Capto
spindles and clamping systems of mill-turn centers and lathes. |
| |
| Applications
with the EWN Capto heads are highly accurate and provide a
smooth diameter adjustment through a precision ground, play-free
micrometer spindle. Tool carrier movement is strictly radial
and balanced at the midpoint for high spindle speeds and improved
bore quality. |
| |
| Simultaneous
locking of the tool carrier and adjusting dial by a simple
clamping system prevents diameter shift. Large, easy-to-read
adjusting dials on the heads allow users to make adjustments
of .0002" or finer. |
