ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL—BIG Kaiser Precision Tooling Inc. now offers chamfer rings for the popular 112 series small diameter boring tools for sequence chamfers on bore diameters of 12.6mm (.496”) to 31.7mm (1.248”).

Existing tools can now be easily retrofitted to perform an additional fixed 45 degree chamfer in the same boring operation. The chamfer ring slides over the boring bar and is locked into place with a single screw. The rings are designed for Ø12mm and Ø.625” boring bars.

The rings are made from aluminum, so tool balance is minimally affected. Standard VC inserts are available for steel, cast iron and aluminum operations.
