New
Basic Control for Speroni STP/34
Provides One Micron Resolution for X and Z Axis |
| |
| Elk
Grove Village, IL - A new Basic Control for the popular Speroni
Model STP34 bench top high-precision measuring and presetting station,
provides one micron resolution for both the X (diameter) and Z (height)
axis. |
| |
| The
Basic Control's self-prompting feature defines ease of use; it also
sequences for fast repeat measurements. A toggle allows measurement
in either incremental or absolute mode at the push of a button.
The system readily displays radius or diameter data in either inch
or metric scales. Its automatic scale-referencing feature eliminates
the need to reset zero points at power up. |
|
| The
Basic Control's digital readout has a display resolution of one
micron (.00004" or .001mm). The system's data memory will store
up to 99 zero points to allow the change of an adapter or sleeve
without having to continuously recalibrate the system. It has an
RS 232 data port for the connection to a printer or a computer. |
|
| The
new Basic Control interfaces with Speroni's new Basic Vision
System for automatic tool tip measurement. It is designed to maximize
measurement capability and eliminate operator errors. The new Basic
Control even prompts operators to place tools in the correct CNC
pockets. The Speroni STP 34 unit is fully compatible with DNC
and CIM systems, helping ensure first part precision. |
|
|
| The
Basic Control features Heidenheim scales for improved upgradability
and market recognition. The system freezes axis data for separate
X and Z measurement; it allows the operator to measure tool features
larger than the optical field of view. |
|
|
| The
STP34 measures tool diameter up to 12" and tool length up to
16", with repeatability to +/- one tenth (.0001"). The
Speroni 34's thermo-balanced, pearlitic cast iron construction
provides the greatest possible rigidity and durability. The STP34
also features an extremely smooth motion along the Z and X axes,
with a simultaneous and individual locking mechanism. Fine adjustments
are provided throughout the travel range. |
