GROVE VILLAGE, IL - A redesign of BIG Kaiser Precision Tooling's
popular 112.116 high precision boring heads that extends the range
from Æ 3.150" to 6.0" will now be offered in a compact,
cost-saving boring tool kit, the company announced. |

| The
"FULL BORE" kit includes two boring heads, two KAB shanks
of the customer's choice, insert holders, reduction bushings, accessories
and wrenches. It organizes everything the user needs in a portable
case, making it easy to move tools and components from machine to
machine. The kit's base cost of under $4,500, is less than 40% of
what it would cost to buy all of these components separately, without
a durable form fitting carrying case. |

| Kaiser
engineers redesigned the tool carrier body of the new 112.118 boring
head included in the kit, so that insert holders can also be mounted
on the side, extending the range without compromising precision
and repeatability. The second included boring head is the type EWN
to cover the boring range of Æ 2.087-3.150". |

| The
kit will bore diameters from Æ 0.464-6.0". Optional accessories
expand the diameter range down to 0.078" (the same as the 112.116
boring head), and a selection of longer carbide bars or KAB extensions
may be added to extend the bore depth. |

| Kaiser's
112.118 boring heads provide superior rigidity and maintain excellent
balance for operation at high rotational speeds. The dial makes
adjustments in increments of .0002"/DIA (metric dial=0.01mm).
Users can easily and accurately split each division for .0001"/DIA
adjustments, making diameter corrections fast and simple. |

of Kaiser's popular 112 series include telescoping adaptation of
the tool projection for any specific user requirement and through
spindle coolant flow. Kaiser's combination of features allows extremely
accurate setting of finish size after only one trial pass, eliminating
time consuming trial and error boring cuts and their potential for
producing expensive scrap. |
