In a significant expansion of its commitment to the
North American market, BIG Daishowa Seiki Co. Ltd.,
a global total tooling manufacturer based in Osaka, Japan,
has formed a new strategic alliance with Kaiser
Precision Tooling Inc. of Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
Kaiser is a subsidiary of Heinz Kaiser Holding AG,
Zürich, Switzerland.
A Heinz Kaiser representative says that long-term experience
shows that customers want total tooling solutions. For
that reason, both companies feel that the global market
urgently requires more and more cooperation to be able
to fulfill customers' demands. With 22 years of successful
collaboration as licensor and licensee, the two companies
have decided to expand their cooperative efforts for
the North American market.
As part of the alliance, BIG Daishowa Seiki has decided
to purchase the shares of Kaiser Precision Tooling
Inc. from Heinz Kaiser Holding AG in Zurich, Switzerland.
Terms of the private transaction were not disclosed.
BIG Daishowa will retain Kaiser's current U.S. management
and distribution network and Kaiser will remain the
exclusive sales and marketing arm in North America for
Heinz Kaiser AG. To recognize the importance of this
new strategic alliance, Kaiser will be renamed BIG
Kaiser Precision Tooling Inc.
